Meet Cara
Cara Suttner is a dedicated Lactation Consultant with over 12 years of experience. She is passionate about supporting and empowering mothers. Her personalised care makes each breastfeeding journey unique. Born and raised in Bondi where she still resides with her husband and six children, Cara has always had a passion to work with newborns and their families.
After graduating as a registered nurse in 2005 Cara followed her passion for neonatal care by working with newborns and families in the Special Care Nursery at the Royal Hospital for Women in Randwick. Her journey into motherhood further deepened her appreciation for the bond between mother and baby.
Cara is dedicated to listening and providing individual care and understands that no two experiences are alike. Her mission is to educate and empower women by fostering confidence while they navigate their individual breastfeeding journey.

What happens during the free consultation?
We discuss any concerns you may be experiencing and arrange a face to face consultation. Finding the right person to support you is important, if I feel that there is someone who can be of more assistance I can provide a referral.
What can I do if I encounter breastfeeding challenges?
Some mothers- to- be may benefit from an antenatal consultation. They are often scheduled around 35 weeks gestation.
Some mothers like scheduling a home visit once they are home from hospital for a general check in and debrief from advice received and experiences in the hospital.
Most mothers contact me as needed when concerns arise.
Do I receive a rebate from Medicare or private health insurance?
How long does a consultation last?
Duration of each consultation ranges from 1.5 to 2 hours and may be longer based on individual journeys.
Where are consultations held?
They can be in the comfort of your own home (scheduling and location permitted) or in my private rooms at Bondi Beach. Parking is available onsite.
